Anfi U.K. Members' Club  - Information

The Anfi U.K. Members' Club is an independent association for owners at Anfi Del Mar and Anfi Tauro. Formed in 1997 it has an active committee and vibrant members' forum. We welcome members from the U.K., Europe and further afield.

The Club was initially conceived by a few owners and gradually formulated during 1997. A formal constitution and committee was set up and the club officially came into being on 30th January 1998.

Originally intended for the U.K. owners at Anfi Beach Club, the club has now expanded to include all owners, home and abroad, from Club Puerto Anfi, Club Monte Anfi, Club Gran Anfi and Anfi Emerald Club in Gran Canaria, who wish to help, advise, co-operate with or meet with each other, either at Anfi or at home, and to enhance their enjoyment of the resort and island.

The key aim of the Anfi U.K. Members' Club is to enhance the enjoyment of all members whilst on holiday at the resorts.
The Club provides help, knowledge and guidance to members and visitors alike who wish to share information and experiences or meet, at Anfi or at home.

In fact we can be described as the information centre and Social Club of Anfi del Mar Owners, and are extending content as Anfi Tauro develops.

Over 20,000 U.K. families and 20,000 non U.K. families own weeks at the current Anfi resorts. You have a massive base of knowledge to share.

We complement the limited information given by the Anfi Resort, using exclusive information gathered by Club Members on holiday at the resorts 52 weeks of the year, and distributed through our members' web site or by newsletter.

Anfi UK Members' Club - Aims of the Club

The club is independent of the resort developers and Management Company though we do have contact with both through the Owners' Committees of Anfi Beach Club, Club Puerto Anfi, Club Monte Anfi, Club Gran Anfi and Emerald Club Tauro.

Our aim is to enhance the enjoyment of all CLUB members whilst on holiday at Anfi Beach Club, Club Puerto Anfi, Club Monte Anfi, Club Gran Anfi and Emerald Club Tauro (information for Anfi Tauro is being developed as that resort is constructed and expands).

The club was formed to enhance the enjoyment of all U.K. Owners at Anfi Del Mar  who regularly or occasionally visit the resort for an annual break. There are over 15,000 U.K. owners and potential members of Anfi U.K. - 3,000+ at Anfi Beach Club, 2,000+ at Club Puerto Anfi, 3,000+ at Club Monte Anfi, and 2,000+ at Club Gran Anfi. Anfi Tauro brings potential for 3000+ UK owners.

We also welcome owners outside the U.K. as members.

The club aims to provide help, knowledge and guidance to Members and visitors alike who wish to meet and share experiences and information either at Anfi or at home.

The information is aimed at complementing any that is received from the resort but with members' input this can be updated on a regular basis. It's the collective knowledge of members' that is so important to the Club.

Anfi UK Members' Club - Organisation

Anfi U.K. has an active Committee which manages the overall operation of the Club.

Members elect the Committee and it has key roles for the organisation, provision of information and finance of the Club.

We rely on information provided by members for update of website content and for our newsletter. Our members' forum is a vital link enabling members to swap information and share experience - it provides the latest views on all things about the Anfi resorts.

Our AGM with evening social event, and other U.K. organised events offer members the opportunity to meet with other Anfi owners. The website allows members to interact and share experience - between us we have a vast base of knowledge !

Anfi UK Members' Club - Committee

The Club is run by a committee elected by members. This meets about 4 times a year to manage the operation of the club, with a quorum of 5 members.

Out of 9 committee members there are 4 formal roles - Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary, and Treasurer. The other roles include Membership Secretary, Newsletter Editor, Social Secretary, Rentals & Resales, and Webmaster.
The Committee's roles include:

  • to maintain a website providing information to members only on travel opportunities, resort updates, bar and restaurant guides, places of interest on Gran Canaria
  • to produce regular newsletters - to provide an exchange, rental and resale facility on the Club’s website
  • to manage the funds of the Club ensuring expenses are budgeted, subscriptions and fees are collected, and payments authorised
  • to maintain membership record
  • to arrange, encourage and support social meetings for Club members both on Gran Canaria and in the UK
  • to ensure the continued growth and development of the Club.

At each AGM 3 members stand down and an election is held to fill vacancies. The committee is a friendly co-operative Club.  If you do join Anfi U.K. - please do think about helping out on articles, research, organising events, etc. If we all help a little, everyone benefits.

Membership is open to all families who currently own at least one week an any of the Anfi Del Mar or Anfi Tauro complexes
